After awakening to delicious aromas each morning, guests are greeted in the dining room with a smile and a sumptuous buffet.

Breakfast is served between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. weekdays, and between 8:00a.m. and 9:30a.m. weekends; however, arrangements can be made to accommodate our guests' special needs. Whenever it is served, it is sure to please . . . and to beckon you back on your next visit to Maine!

"Edibles"

"On the corner of College and Ware streets, is the Ware Street Inn, a lovely 1940s-era Colonial-style home transformed into a B&B two years ago by Jan Barrett. Her personal favorite French toast interpretation is a tasty stuffed version: griddle-toasted slices of crusty French baguette filled with cream cheese and her homemade strawberry jam. She also is known for her crème-caramel French toast, and French-toasted croissants served with sautéed apples and cranberries. 

Those with a penchant for pancakes would likely appreciate her baked peach pancakes with honey-raisin syrup. For waffle aficionados there are apple Belgian waffles with apple cider syrup. 

Barrett loves to bake, so guests will usually find something tempting on her bountifully-stocked buffet table as well, such as her Memere's sour cream cranberry coffee cake, or her own delightfully decadent banana rum toffee bread. Guests who depart too soon - perhaps due to an early flight - to partake in the Ware Street Inn's family-style sit down breakfast are cheerfully provided with a To-Go breakfast: a piece of fruit, a couple of slices of fresh-baked sweet bread and/or muffins, a granola bar and a few pieces of candy to un-pop their ears during their flight, all tucked inside an official Ware Street Inn doggy bag,  along with napkins and a wet nap. And as they head out the door, they are handed a Ware Street Inn travel mug filled with coffee or any other beverage of their choice (and there is a vast selection)."
